On March 23, 2020 we were forced to cease global operations due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), and today, March 30th we have made the tough call with Airbus leadership that Voom will not resume its operations. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes the type of information we collect through our mobile application (“Voom App”), desktop and mobile websites, and other online products and services (collectively “Services”), how this information is used and shared, and your rights and choices regarding its collection and handling.

We do not knowingly collect any personal information from minors, except from their parents or guardians and in connection with the booking of transportation with our partner helicopter and helipad operators (“Operators”).

Voom obtains information about you from various sources in order to provide our Services and enhance the user experience on our platform. “You” may be someone who purchases or intends to purchase transportation through our on-demand helicopter booking platform (“Customer”), a traveling companion of a Customer, or someone who otherwise visits or sets up a profile on one of our websites or the Voom App (collectively, “you” or “Users”).

This means that we only engage in the practices described in this policy in a particular country or region if permitted under the laws of those places. We limit access to information about our Users and Operators only to those employees and authorized parties who reasonably need access to the information in order to perform their job responsibilities. Nonetheless, we cannot guarantee that transmissions of your information will always be secure or that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat the security measures taken by us or our third-party service providers. A. Platform Permissions

Most mobile platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) require your consent before certain information about you, such as your location, can be accessed by the Voom App. These platforms have different permission systems for obtaining your consent. The iOS platform will alert you the first time the Voom App wants permission to access certain types of personal information and will let you consent (or not consent) to that request. Android devices will notify you of the permissions that the Voom App seeks before you first use the app and your use of the app constitutes your consent.

If you are accessing our Services via a web browser, you will not be shown these access screens or permissions.

B. Use of Cookies

You may choose to block our website and other sites from setting cookies by changing your browser settings. Please note that blocking or disabling certain cookies will interfere with your ability to use some parts of our Services. While you may disable the usage of cookies through your browser settings, our Services do not respond to a “Do Not Track” signal in the HTTP header from your browser or mobile application due to lack of standardization regarding how that signal should be interpreted. California law permits Users who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, a list of the third parties to whom we have disclosed that user’s personal information (if any) for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year, as well as the type of personal information disclosed to those third parties.
