How far in advance can I book a flight?
With Voom, you can fly when you want. Fly now - book and take off in as little as 60 minutes. Or, if you prefer to plan ahead, book your journey up to 7 days in advance.
Can children fly with me?
Most federal aviation authorities permit lap children in helicopters. However, your helicopter operator may have additional restrictions. If you have children under the age of 18 that you would like to fly with you, please contact the Voom Concierge Team to learn what options are available.
Is my pet allowed?
Pets are generally not allowed on Voom flights. Please contact the Voom Concierge Team if you plan to bring your pet.
Can I bring others along with me for the journey?
As Voom is still in Beta mode, currently you cannot book a flight for another passenger. All riders - other than lap children - must create their own Voom account. Due to space constraints, we cannot guarantee that you will be on the same flight as others in your party.
Will other passengers be on my flight?
Yes, most likely. You can expect that there will be up to 4 other passengers on your flight. Voom has developed a proprietary pooling technology that allows us to provide the most affordable helicopter service in the world. Our pooling technology lets riders fly for up to 80 percent less than traditional helicopter services - about the cost of a private car service.
How long is my flight?
When booking your flight, you will be provided with information, including the estimated flight duration.
Is there a passenger weight limit?
For safety reasons, all passengers must be under 120 kg. This is why we ask your weight upon booking. The Voom Concierge will contact you if there are any weight issues.
Is there parking available at the helipad?
Depending on where you are flying, you may leave your car in a nearby parking garage. Please contact the Voom Concierge Team to learn more about your specific helipad location.
How close to the departure time can I book my flight?
We are the only helicopter service that lets you book your flight on-demand. You can book your journey up until 60 minutes before your desired departure time. Or, if you prefer, you can schedule your journey up to 7 days in advance.
How do I know I am on the right flight?
The Voom Concierge Team or a helipad representative will meet you at your departure point and escort you to the helicopter. You will receive detailed instructions on where to find your flight via text message once your flight has been booked. You will know your helicopter’s "tail number" (think of it as the helicopter’s license plate number) and operator before you board.
Which starting and ending addresses do I enter into the app?

For the starting address, please enter the address where you will begin your journey. We will show you the helipads in the Voom network nearest to that point.

For the ending address, please enter the address where you would like to complete your journey. We will show you the helipads in the Voom network nearest to that point.

How do I get to the helipad?
You are responsible for getting to the helipad at least 15 minutes prior to your boarding time. We have partnered with local on-demand ground transport providers, which you can access directly in the Voom booking site. You will receive specific instructions on how to find the helipad via text message once your flight has been booked.

You are responsible for getting to the helipad at least 15 minutes prior to your boarding time.
Do I need to bring an ID with me?
Yes, you need to bring a government-issued ID (i.e., Passport, National ID, Driver's License, etc) to be able to board your flight. This ID should match the information you provide when you book your journey.
What can I bring with me?
You can bring most of the same items you bring on a commercial airline flight. The same is true for what you can not bring. Like a commercial airline flight, you cannot bring guns and weapons, explosives, hazardous or explosive materials, pressurized gas, or other dangerous material.
How much luggage can I take with me?

When you book your journey, we will let you know how many personal items and bags you can bring with you. Please be sure to bring only items you noted when you booked your journey, as Voom reserves the right to prevent your boarding in the event you have exceeded the number of items indicated during your booking.

Note that our definitions of personal items and bags differ from that of commercial airlines. Personal items must weigh less than 5kg (must fit under your seat or on your lap). Luggage must weigh less than 23kg and measure less than 62 inches / 158 cm (length + width + height). Any item with wheels or retractable handles is considered a bag, not a personal item.

Like a Hotel or Airline, we may place a hold on your credit card for more than your Journey’s displayed estimate. We do so to prevent unexpected baggage fees so please be sure to only bring the number of bags you mentioned upon booking. Rest assured, you will only be charged for the final number of bags you bring with you.
